You might think creating a community works the same everywhere, you might think is enough to research about whats going on all around the world and apply those same principles to you just started community.

The truth is not every single place have the same conditions which will allow you to just apply the rules by the book, reality is you need to take in to account the unique differences which makes your place the way it is even if you are a native fellow and you already spent most of you life interacting with locals, you will be most likely to encounter all sorts of challenges during this journey called community building.

Try to engage and really care about others have to say, there’s no other way around, nobody wants to hear everything you have to say, you must take humility in to truly embrace your community feelings and understand, what they are looking for.

Clear the path and have clear objectives, ask your community to participate in activities needed to accomplish these objectives, have in mind all people willing to follow the first principles are the ones who will shape the future of your community and will guarantee it’s survival when you are gone.

I’m in the task of creating a community from scratch, I will keep you posted on my journey and sharing what’s happening.
